Who We Are
The Vagrancy is a not-for-profit theatre company. It was founded in 2007 in New York City by Caitlin Hart and Alia Wilson. It has been Los Angeles based since 2009 and opened a Michigan based branch in 2020. The Vagrancy is currently under the Artistic Direction of Founder - Caitlin Hart.

Caitlin Hart / Founder & Artistic Director
Caitlin Hart (she/her) holds a B.A in Theatre Arts from Aquinas College and completed the Atlantic Theater Company’s 2 Year Professional Acting Conservatory in NYC. Directing credits with The Vagrancy include: Romeo and Juliet (Broadway World 2018 Best Play Nominee), Macbeth (Broadway World 2017 Best Play Nominee), Maria Irene Fornes’ What of the Night? (West Coast Premiere; Ovation Recommended; Best Acting Ensemble, Lighting Design & Sound Design Ovation Nominee), Tommy Smith’s White Hot (LA Premiere; Hollywood Fringe -Best in Ensemble Theatre Winner), Tim J. Lord’s Down in the Face of God (World Premiere), Maria Irene Fornes’ Springtime (NYC), Gary Owen’s The Drowned World (LA Premiere), Joe Tracz’s Phenomenon of Decline (LA Premiere) and Kate McMannus’s The Next Available Operator. Bruce Hart / Managing Director
Bruce M. Hart is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer and Financial Director with expertise in managing all aspects of financial statement preparation and analysis, third party reimbursement functions, revenue cycle operations, supply chain, budgeting and auditing. Bruce has over 37 years of non-profit healthcare finance experience at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and Holland Community Hospital. He has an MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University and earned Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and Fellow of the Health Care Financial Management Association certifications.
Zoey Bond / C0-Literary Manager
Zoey Bond is a Los Angeles based actor, originally hailing from Chicago, where she began acting a a child. She holds a BFA in Acting from The University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, as well as a Shakespeare Performance certificate from RADA in London. In her first year in Los Angeles, Zoey booked a recurring role on a CollegeHumor Digital series, two independent pilots, a short film, a few readings, and many improv shows! Zoey was last seen on stage in a production of WAR by Lars Norén at the ITSelF theatre festival in Warsaw, Poland. Zoey is repped by AKA Talent Agency. Nicky Romaniello/Co-Literary Manager
Nicky Romaniello is a New Yorker trying to get used to living in LA. He joined the Vagrancy in 2017. In New York he studied drama and danced on lunch room tables at the “FAMEd” LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts. He has performed all over New York including at The Metropolitan Opera, Circle in the Square Theatre and Carnegie Hall. Nicky is also part of immersive site-specific theatre company Linked Dance Theatre. Katherine Vondy / Writers' Group Moderator
Katherine Vondy is a Los Angeles-based writer and director whose credits span theater, film, and literature. Kat is the recipient of the Davey Foundation Theatre Grant for her play The Fermi Paradox, and her award-winning short film The Broken Heart of Gnocchi Bolognese has screened at festivals worldwide. Her plays have been developed with The Vagrancy, Salt Lake Acting Company, and Paper Wing Theatre Company, and recent theater directing credits include The Complete Human Experience (Lost Moon Radio), Friends in Transient Places (Fresh Produce'd LA), and Suddenly Split and Swiping Over (All Terrain Theater). Kat has received dramatic writing residencies from the HBMG Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, Starry Night, and Wildacres. She earned a BA from Amherst College and an MFA in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California. Jessie Lee Mills /Directors' Group Moderator
Jessie Lee Mills is an Assistant Professor of theatre at Pomona College and a professional director. She directs, adapts, and devises theater, opera, musicals, films, and new works in venues throughout the United States and abroad, including with the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC; The Lincoln Center & The Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York; The Goodman Theatre & The Grant Park Orchestra in Chicago; and The Sala Beckett Institute in Barcelona, Spain. She received her MFA in Directing from Carnegie Mellon University and is a John Wells Fellow.
Her scholarship and publications center on ensemble-theatre and comedy-as-community. She has created and initiated a number of grants, community centers, and programs, all of which promote bridging the divide between the academy and its surrounding community.

Elitia Daniels/BLOSSOMING Moderator
Elitia Daniels keeps busy writing and producing her own small projects in Los Angeles, including Happy Hour (The Hollywood Fringe Festival) and a web mini-series LifeBites. Favorite theater credits include What of the Night with The Vagrancy (Ovation nominated for Best Ensemble), How I Learned to Drive with The Illyrain Players, and the premiere of Donald Margulies’ Coney Island Christmas at The Geffen Playhouse.
